ROAD WORK: asphalt on Windy Lynn Ave, mastic on South China Lake, pothole repairs, and crack sealing around town. Fence repairs along Bowman Channel and repaired pedestrian crossing at Mesquite HS
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS: Kelly Brewton (Finance) and Justin Schuchman (Transit) were recognized for their service milestones. March was declared American Red Cross Month. March 18th was also recognized as National Transit Driver Day. View the City Council Meetings at www.youtube.com/cityofridgecrest
RPD: The Ridgecrest Police Department is investigating a shooting on March 18th. All suspects are in custody.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Bath and Body Works will open in Spring 2025, and other businesses like Jersey Mike’s, Ross, and 5 Below are still in development. The animal shelter is looking for new hires and has animals available for adoption.
FARMERS MARKET: The Farmers Market has moved to Wednesday evenings on Balsam Street. Come by to shop local vendors and support small businesses.
